Hey Mumma, Let's Talk About Potty Learning!
Hi Mumma, potty learning is a big step for me, and it's more about learning than training. Here are some tips, to help us on this journey:
-
Early Introduction
-
Playful Preparation: Potty learning starts with getting to know the potty. We can play games, read books, and talk about the potty in a fun way. This helps me feel comfortable and excited about it.
-
Individual Timelines
-
Unique Paces: Every child learns at their own pace, Mumma. Some kids learn quickly, while others take more time. It's important to go at my speed and not rush me.
-
Thoughtful Use of Rewards
-
Strategic Rewards: Rewards can be helpful if used thoughtfully. You can use "When-then" language to set clear expectations and reward my immediate behavior. This helps me understand what you want me to do.
There’s an interesting story book called Potty time & Poo Time that helps me understand the potty learning experience & we can read together in a fun way.
These tips will help make potty learning a positive experience for both of us. Thank you for being patient and understanding with me, Mumma!
