Best Rainy Day Activities for Toddlers

“Rain, Rain Go away”
Rain doesn’t have to go away for you to have a fun time!
You have been planning all day to go outside with your baby and play in the park, but suddenly there is a heavy downpour. When the weather is bad, it can be difficult to get outside. But that doesn't mean you have to give up on playing at all. If you're going to be outside with your toddler, you have to do it in some style.

Here are some ideas for fun activities that will keep you and your toddler happy and entertained:

1.Take a walk around the block or the neighbourhood. This is an easy activity to do with your toddler and it's a great way to get exercise! If you live in a large city, there are bound to be many parks nearby for you to explore. Wear your rain boots and step outside. Don’t forget to carry that pretty umbrella with you.

2. If there's snow outside, it's not enough to just go out into the cold with a jacket and a hat. You should be prepared for the weather as well. A good pair of gloves and boots are essential for keeping your little one warm, but there are also plenty of other ways to keep them safe and comfortable when temperatures drop. Make them wear socks, gloves, headbands before stepping outside in the snow. Once you are out in snow, make your own snowman or snowperson with your baby! Watch your baby eat some snow as well.

3. You can go out into your backyard and have fun throwing rainbow ball. You can also do gardening with your little one. Plant some flowers in pots and watch them grow! Your little one will love digging or watering the plants. Give them a watering can of their own so they will also learn some real-life skill sand develop a sense of independence; this will serve as one of the baby brain development courses

4. You can also go jump in the mud. Trust me your baby loves playing in water. Messy play is also apart of their growth and upbringing. Jump in mud, let them touch it with both of their hands and enjoy. It will release a lot of stress and allow both of you to have a fun playful time.

5. You can also go and pick up little flowers, leaves, or branches from the garden. This will excite your little one and encourage them to go find another leaf to pick from the ground. Take the flowers flashcards, Fruit flashcards or the
nature cards and talk more about different elements of nature with your child.
